Nestled adjacent to the scenic Riverside Park complex, our campground offers a variety of accommodations to suit every camper's needs, from full hook-up RV sites to cozy tent spaces. With over four miles of paved trails connecting you to the golf club and other local attractions, plus access to Riverside Park's pool, playgrounds, and sports facilities, Rothenburg Campground is the perfect base for exploring all that Springfield has to offer.
Riverside Park boasts a steel L-shaped pool, bath house, kiddie pool and a figure 8 water slide and separate plunge pool. The park also includes a sand volleyball court, basketball court, tennis courts, picnic shelters, playground equipment, horseshoe courts, a skate park, canoe landing.
Site Information
Rothenburg Campground is 2 blocks from the downtown area and over 4 miles of paved walking, hiking and biking trails lead to the golf club and other areas of interest.
What To Do In Inclement Weather
In the event of severe weather, when a warning is issued you are asked to go to the STORM SHELTER located in Riverside Park by the Softball field. Map in your packet. Police will also inform you.
RV & Tent Options
Choose from 27 full hook-up RV sites ($40/night), 8 water/electric RV sites ($35/night), or 6 non-electric tent sites ($15/night). Additional charges apply for extra tents or campers.
Location & Availability
Located next to Riverside Park, 36 sites are available now, with additional sites (#42-50)
Amenities
Each site includes a fire ring, picnic table, access to two bathhouses with showers, and a dump station. Some sewer sites may require an extended hose.
Parking Rules
One car per site is allowed, with extra parking across the street. Parking on the grass is not permitted.

Rates & Booking
Full Hook-Up: $40/night or $240/week.
Tent Site: $15/night.
Payment: We accept Visa, Mastercard, and Discover.
Extended Stays: Campers staying longer than one week must move to a different site on a weekly basis.
Campground Policies
Check-In/Out: Check-in is at 2 p.m., and check-out is at 12 noon. No need to check in upon arrival due to online booking.
Cancellations: Cancellations must be made at least one week in advance for a refund (less a $5 transaction fee). No refunds will be issued for cancellations made within 7 days of the reservation. No rain checks will be issued.
Pets: Pets are welcome but must be on a leash and never left unattended. Please pick up and dispose of your pet's waste promptly.
Pest Control: Please note that we do not spray for mosquitoes.
