Park Shelter Rental Rules for Riverside & Browns Park

  1. Hours are 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. The event must end by 10:00 p.m. on the rental date/dates; there will be NO EXCEPTIONS.
  2. Clean-Up: Cleanup of the shelter must take place immediately following the event. The Renter must clean off all tables, benches, and return them to their original locations. The Renter must provide own cleaning supplies. All items brought in by the renter must be removed. If items remain in the shelter house after 6:00 a.m. the following day you will be charged an additional rental fee. If cleanup in addition to the normal cleanup is necessary, you will be charged an additional $50.00 fee.
  3. Parking/Unloading: There is to be no parking on the grass. All vehicles must be parked on one of the public streets or parking area surrounding the park.
  4. Grills: Grills may not be placed on the grass, on a trail, street, or underneath the shelter.
  5. Cancellation: Renter may cancel this Lease Agreement by giving notice to the City of Springfield. If the notice is 10 days or more prior to the rental date, the City of Springfield will refund 50% of the rental fee. The rental fee is non-refundable if the Renter cancels less than 10 days prior to the rental date.
